Brazilian educator – English Language Arts Teacher and School Administrator
My career in Education started with a primary-teaching technical course integrated to high school, and then I started teaching when I was 17.
I have a bachelor degree in English Language Arts, by the Federal University of Rondônia – UNIR (2001), where I also took two specialization courses (Post-graduation/Lato Sensu), the first one in School Administration (2003) and the second one in English Language Arts and Literatures in English (2005).
I received my Master Degree from the Federal University of Rondônia, in 2011 with a specialization in School Psychology and Educational Processes, carrying out a research in children biliteracy development.
My professional background is composed by the teaching experience in all levels of education and also by School Administration field, language schools and regular schools.
I often develop extension projects regarding English Language Learning, such as IELTS and TOELF preparation courses. I’m certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Teaching Knowledge Test by the British Council.
My researches comprehend study fields of Literature, Linguistics and Education with subjects such as Reading in foreign Language, Translation, Post-Colonial studies, Bilingual Education, Biliteracy and Teacher Development and learning.
At present, I’m a teacher at the Federal Institute of Rondônia-IFRO and a member of the Historical and Linguistics Research Centre (Núcleo de Estudos Históricos e Linguísticos).
